This 90-minute walking tour will educate and entertain you with narratives of local history, and acquaint you with the colorful personalities of the founders of our city.

The ambitions and rivalries of the famous and the infamous men who were the early builders of Fort Myers make an engaging story.

Sometimes unruly, often stubborn, but always visionary, these men grew, from a frontier fort,

a city that has become an international destination for sun-seekers.

There’s a whole lot more to this town than you think.

Saturdays – 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Begins and ends at the Franklin Shops, 2200 First Street in downtown Fort Myers

Private group tours (min. 10) available upon request

$13 per person

    1. Thank you for your interest, Blenda. It is a walking tour, as it would be difficult to move a bus slowly, with frequent stops, around the narrow streets of our historic district. We hope you will join us for any one of our tours.
